I just started beading in October. I am unable to get this pattern to set up in the manner given. I want my darker color on the outer columns and lighter on the inside. Can you give me some tips?
ReplyDeleteHi,
DeleteI think the problem is that this is an odd count Peyote stitch, often they are even count, which is easier. But not to worry, it's not brain surgery ;)
The best advice I can give you is to check out the following webpage (sorry, I don't know how to make clickable links, so please just copy and paste them into the web adress bar thingy):
https://www.interweave.com/article/beading/odd-count-vs-even-count-peyote-whats-the-difference/
A video on a different way: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zaFT8FcTC-U
Odd count Peyote can also be worked with two needles: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c2mZyA7EMgc
Or google (two needdle) odd count Peyote, for even more webpages and videos.
I hope these will help make the set up easier :)
Good luck and happy beading, feel free to contact me again if this isn't the information you were looking for.
With kindest regards,
C.J.
